Common Aston Martin repairs and services
- Sportshift clutch and actuator: the automated manual gearbox on the V8 Vantage and V12 Vantage wears its clutch in stop-and-go traffic. We measure wear, replace clutches and actuator parts, and recalibrate.
- Touchtronic and ZF 8-speed automatics: fluid service and fault diagnosis on the DB9, Rapide, DB11, Vantage and DBS Superleggera.
- V12 ignition and misfires: coil packs, spark plugs and wiring on the 5.9 and 5.2 V12s.
- AMG 4.0 twin-turbo V8: coolant leaks, turbo oil lines, ignition faults and scheduled service on the new Vantage, DB11 V8, DB12 and DBX.
- Cooling system: radiators, water pumps, coolant pipes and fans.
- Suspension: front lower arm bushings, adaptive dampers, wheel bearings and alignment.
- Brakes: steel and carbon-ceramic systems, pads and fluid flushes.
- Electrical: battery drain, charging faults, door handles, windows and infotainment.
- Scheduled maintenance with fluids to Aston Martin specifications.

How South Florida treats an Aston Martin
Aston Martins are often weekend cars in Broward, and that pattern brings two problems. First, batteries. A car that sits in a hot garage loses charge faster, and a low battery on an Aston can bring up a dash full of warnings or a no-start. We recommend a battery tender for any car that sits more than a week.
Second, clutches. A Sportshift Vantage driven in traffic on Las Olas or US-1 slips its clutch every time it creeps forward, and heat speeds the wear. Using manual mode and avoiding holding the car on a hill with the throttle helps the clutch last longer.
Heat and humidity also work on the cooling system and the leather. Front-mounted radiators collect debris and lose efficiency, and A/C systems run almost daily. Near the coast on A1A, salt air adds corrosion to aluminum suspension parts and electrical connectors. We check these on every visit.
Signs your Aston Martin needs a visit
- A burning smell or judder when pulling away in a Sportshift car, which often means the clutch is near the end.
- A misfire or rough idle on a V12, usually a coil pack or plug.
- Coolant on the garage floor or a temperature gauge that climbs in traffic.
- Clunks from the front over bumps, often worn lower arm bushings.
- Slow cranking or a dash full of warnings after the car has been parked.
We scan the car, photograph what we find and explain your options before any work starts.
