Signs it is time for an oil change
- A service reminder in the cluster or iDrive, MBUX or MMI screen
- A yellow oil level warning asking you to add a quart
- Oil that looks black and thin on the dipstick, on cars that still have one
- A burning smell after a drive, often oil from a valve cover or filter housing leak landing on the exhaust
- A ticking sound at cold start, which can mean low oil or a worn timing chain tensioner
What our European oil change includes
- Approved full-synthetic oil, poured to the capacity for your exact engine
- OEM or OE-equivalent filter with new O-rings, and a new drain plug washer torqued to spec
- Oil level check with the car’s electronic sensor on models without a dipstick
- Service reminder reset with factory-level software
- Photo inspection of brakes, tires, belts, hoses, leaks, fluids and battery
- Top-off of washer fluid and a tire pressure and TPMS check

Brand notes from our bays
- BMW N20, N55, B48 and B58 engines often leak from the oil filter housing gasket and valve cover. We photograph any seepage so you can fix it before oil reaches the belts.
- Mercedes M274 and M276 engines have a known breather and camshaft adjuster weak spot. We note oil in the connectors when we see it.
- Audi and VW 2.0T engines can use oil between changes. We record the level each visit so you can track it.
- Porsche engines on Cayenne and Macan models need the right fill procedure and level check through the cluster.
- Exotic V8 and V12 engines often need the engine at operating temperature for an accurate dry-sump level reading.
Why oil wears out faster in South Florida
Oil breaks down from heat, and Broward traffic delivers plenty of it. A car that idles on I-95 or creeps along Federal Hwy builds engine hours without adding miles. Humidity and short trips add moisture and fuel to the oil, which form sludge in turbocharged direct-injection engines. Cars that sit for weeks, common with seasonal residents, also need oil changed by time. That is why we give you a time-based reminder along with the mileage.
