Audi repairs we handle
- Timing chain tensioner and guides on the EA888 2.0T, plus timing chain work on the 3.0T and 4.0T engines.
- Oil consumption and leaks: PCV valves, valve cover gaskets, oil filter housings, rear main seals and oil cooler lines.
- Cooling system: water pump and thermostat housing leaks, a very common Audi repair, plus radiators, coolant pipes and the 3.0T supercharged V6 thermostat. See coolant leak repair.
- Carbon cleaning of intake valves on direct-injection engines.
- Transmissions: S tronic dual-clutch fluid and filter service and mechatronic faults, plus Tiptronic and ZF 8-speed fluid service.
- quattro drivetrain: differentials, transfer cases, Haldex couplings on transverse models and driveshaft vibrations.
- Adaptive air suspension on A6, A7, A8, Q7, Q8 and allroad models: struts, compressors and level sensors.
- Electrical and MMI: infotainment faults, battery drain, battery coding and key programming.
- Brakes, alignment and scheduled maintenance to Audi intervals.

How Florida heat affects an Audi
Audi uses a lot of plastic in its cooling systems. Water pump housings, thermostat housings and coolant flanges expand and contract with every heat cycle, and Broward gives them plenty. A small seep that shows up as a low-coolant warning in July can turn into an overheating engine in traffic on Sunrise Blvd. We pressure-test the system when you report a coolant smell or a pink crust near the front of the engine.
Heat also thins out oil faster in stop-and-go driving, which matters on 2.0T engines with sensitive timing chain tensioners. Many Broward owners do better with oil changes earlier than the maximum interval. Humidity and long A/C use add load to the electrical system, and weak batteries cause odd MMI and start-stop warnings. We test the battery and charging system before chasing those faults.
Signs your Audi needs attention
- A rattle for a few seconds on a cold start, which can point to the timing chain tensioner.
- A sweet coolant smell or a low-coolant warning after a drive.
- Oil level warnings between services, or blue smoke at startup.
- A shudder when pulling away in an S tronic car.
- An uneven ride height or a suspension warning on air-sprung models.
Any of these is worth a scan and inspection before it turns into a larger repair.
