Sprinter work we handle
A Sprinter is a work tool, so we focus on the faults that take vans off the road.
- Diesel engine diagnostics: OM642 3.0 V6, OM651 2.1 four-cylinder and OM654 2.0 four-cylinder diesels. Misfires, hard starts, glow plugs and injector seal leaks.
- Emissions and SCR faults: DEF (AdBlue) heaters, pumps and level sensors, NOx sensors, EGR valves and coolers, and DPF regeneration and cleaning.
- Turbo and boost: cracked intercooler hoses, turbo actuators and boost pressure sensors, a common cause of low power on the highway.
- Transmission: 7G-Tronic and 9G-Tronic fluid service, conductor plate faults and shift quality complaints.
- Brakes, steering and suspension for loaded vans: pads, rotors, calipers, tie rods, ball joints, springs and shocks.
- A/C repair. Cargo vans with rear A/C run long lines that leak.
- Electrical faults and battery service, including auxiliary batteries and upfit wiring checks.
- Scheduled maintenance to Mercedes-Benz intervals, using diesel-rated oil.
Vans we service
Sprinter cargo, crew and passenger vans, from the NCV3 (W906) generation through the current VS30, in 2500, 3500 and 4500 configurations. We also see Metris vans, gas Sprinters with the M274 four-cylinder, and electric eSprinter vans for brakes, suspension, tires and 12-volt systems.
Built for fleets
- Fleet accounts with priority scheduling and consolidated account billing.
- Mercedes XENTRY diagnostics, so emissions repairs and module coding are done properly the first time.
- Photo inspections and written estimates for every van, so a fleet manager can approve from a phone.
- ASE-certified, factory-trained technicians and a 2-year / 24,000-mile warranty on repairs.
- In-house body, paint and glass for dents, mirrors and windshields picked up on delivery routes.
- Concierge pickup and delivery. Call the shop to schedule pickup of a van.
Limo, chauffeur and shuttle operators can read our limo and black car fleet page. Dealers and other fleets will find details on our fleet and commercial service page.
How South Florida driving wears out vans
Delivery routes in Broward mean short hops, long idles and constant stop-and-go on US-1, Oakland Park Blvd and Federal Hwy. That driving pattern is hard on diesel emissions parts. The DPF rarely gets hot enough to clean itself, so soot builds up and forced regenerations become more frequent.
Heat adds more stress. Engine bays and cargo areas run hot from spring to fall, DEF breaks down faster when it is stored in heat, and rubber intercooler hoses crack. Brakes on a loaded van work hard in traffic and fade sooner in summer. Vans parked near the beach also pick up salt air corrosion on brake lines and electrical connectors. We check each of these on every visit and flag wear before it strands a van. For fleets, we can also suggest a service rhythm based on how each van is actually driven, so routine work is planned around your routes instead of breakdowns.
How a van visit works
- Bring the van in, or drop it off after hours at Oakland Park. Walk-ins are welcome at both shops, 7 days a week, 8 AM – 7 PM.
- We scan and inspect. Your technician reads fault codes with XENTRY and photographs the problem areas.
- You approve the estimate. The written estimate lists urgent repairs first and items that can wait second.
- We repair and road test under load where needed, then update your fleet records. Fleet accounts get one consolidated bill.
