Collision Repair, Auto Body & Paint in Fort Lauderdale & Oakland Park

Prestige Auto Repairs & Tires repairs collision damage, dents and paint in house at two Broward shops, in Oakland Park and Fort Lauderdale. We photograph the damage, write a detailed estimate for you or your insurer, match factory paint codes and finish the mechanical, electrical and calibration work under the same roof. Open 7 days, 8 AM – 7 PM.

Body and collision work we do in house

  • Collision repair after front, rear and side impacts, from bumper covers to structural panels
  • Paint and refinishing with factory color codes and panel blending
  • Dent repair, including paintless dent repair for door dings and hail-style dents where the paint is intact
  • Bumper repair and replacement, with parking sensors and radar refitted
  • Scratch, scuff and curb-rash repair on bumpers and wheels
  • Trim, mirror and headlight replacement
  • Auto glass and windshield replacement with camera calibration. See auto glass and windshields.
  • Post-repair detailing and paint protection. See detailing and ceramic coating.

Why body work belongs at a European specialist

A modern BMW, Mercedes or Tesla is as much a computer as a car. A rear bumper can hold blind-spot radar, parking sensors and a camera. A door can hold side-impact sensors and soft-close motors. Many general body shops send the car out for that electronic work afterward. We handle it in the same building:

  • Factory-level scan tools read crash data and clear airbag faults correctly: BMW ISTA, Mercedes XENTRY, Porsche PIWIS-level and VW/Audi ODIS-level software.
  • Sensor and camera calibration after bumpers, mirrors or glass are replaced
  • Module coding when a replacement headlight or control unit has to be matched to the car
  • Wheel alignment and suspension checks after any impact to a wheel. See tires and alignment.

How a collision repair works here

  1. Photo inspection. We photograph every damaged area and look behind the bumper for broken brackets, absorbers and sensors.
  2. Written estimate. You get a line-item estimate on your phone. If insurance is paying, we send it to your adjuster.
  3. Supplements when needed. If we find more damage once panels are off, we document it with photos and get approval before going further.
  4. Repair and refinish. Parts are fitted, panels are painted and blended, and electronics are scanned and calibrated.
  5. Final check. We road test the car, re-scan for faults and walk you through the work.

Paint that holds up in South Florida

Sun, salt air near the beach and summer downpours are hard on paint. Clear coat that is not applied and cured properly fades and peels first here. We prep to bare, sound material where needed, use a full clear coat, and let it cure before polishing. Matte finishes like the Mercedes-AMG Magno paints and Porsche satin colors need special products and can’t be polished like gloss paint, so we tell you up front how a matte repair will be handled.

Insurance and out-of-pocket repairs

Whether your insurer is paying or you are paying yourself, the process is the same: photos, a written estimate and your approval before work starts. If the insurer’s estimate leaves out OEM parts, calibration or blending your car needs, we document why and push for the supplement. Our insurance and warranty claims page explains it step by step. If your car was in deep water rather than a crash, see flood-damaged car repair.

Vehicles we repair

BMW and MINI, Mercedes-Benz and AMG, Audi, VW, Porsche, Land Rover and Range Rover, Jaguar, Volvo, Tesla, Rivian, Lucid, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Maserati and domestic cars. Spanish speakers can read our taller de carrocería y pintura page.

Body repairs carry our 2-year / 24,000-mile warranty. Both shops are open 7 days, 8 AM – 7 PM, with ASE-certified, factory-trained technicians.

Questions drivers ask

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to use the body shop my insurance company suggests?
No. In Florida you choose where your car is repaired. Tell your insurer you want Prestige, and we send the adjuster our photos and estimate. See how claims work here.
Can you match the paint on my Porsche or Mercedes?
Yes. We start from the factory paint code, spray test cards to check the variant, and blend into neighboring panels so the repair disappears in daylight. Tri-coat whites and metallics get extra attention.
Do you use OEM parts for collision repair?
We recommend OEM parts for European and exotic cars. If your policy only pays for aftermarket or used parts, we tell you before the repair so you can decide.
Will my driver-assist systems work after a body repair?
They should, once they are calibrated. Radar sensors in bumpers and cameras in mirrors and windshields need calibration after a repair, and we include it on the estimate when the car requires it.
Can I get an estimate from photos?
Yes, for a first look. Send photos with an estimate request, and we confirm the final estimate once we see the car in person, because hidden damage behind bumpers is common.
