Corvette Repair & Service in Fort Lauderdale & Oakland Park

Prestige Auto Repairs & Tires repairs and services Chevrolet Corvettes from the C5 to the mid-engine C8, including the Stingray, Z06, ZR1 and E-Ray, at two Broward shops in Oakland Park and Fort Lauderdale. ASE-certified, factory-trained technicians photograph every finding and send a written estimate before any work. Repairs carry a 2-year / 24,000-mile warranty.

Common Corvette repairs we handle

  • Oil service on dry-sump engines: the LS7 and LS9 in the C6 Z06 and ZR1, the LT1 with the Z51 package, the LT4 and LT5 in the C7 Z06 and ZR1, and every C8 engine.
  • Engine diagnosis: misfires, oil leaks, lifter and valvetrain noise, and valve guide checks on the LS7, where guide wear is a known concern.
  • Cooling system: radiators, water pumps, thermostats, hoses and supercharger intercooler circuits on the LS9, LT4 and LT5.
  • Transmissions: fluid service and shift diagnosis on the C7 8-speed automatic, clutch and hydraulic work on manual cars, and fluid service on the C8 Tremec 8-speed dual-clutch.
  • Magnetic Selective Ride Control: damper faults, leaking shocks, ride height sensors and suspension codes.
  • Brakes: iron Brembo systems, carbon-ceramic rotors on the Z06, ZR1 and E-Ray, pads, fluid and wear sensors.
  • C8 front lift: lift faults, leaks and calibration.
  • Electrical: battery drain, steering column lock faults on the C5, body control modules and key fob problems.
  • A/C, tires, alignment and pre-purchase inspections.

Corvette generations we service

Generation Years Common engines
C5 1997–2004 LS1, LS6 (Z06)
C6 2005–2013 LS2, LS3, LS7 (Z06), LS9 (ZR1)

What South Florida does to a Corvette

A Corvette engine runs hot by design, and a summer afternoon in Broward adds a lot of heat on top of that. Coolant hoses, the radiator and the water pump age faster here, and supercharged cars depend on a healthy intercooler loop to keep intake temperatures in check. We pressure-test the cooling system and look for seepage on every visit.

Dry-sump oil gets the same scrutiny. Short trips along Las Olas or US-1 rarely bring the oil fully up to temperature, so moisture can build in the tank. We follow the hot-check procedure so the level is right, and we look at the oil for signs of fuel dilution or debris.

Low-profile tires take a beating on Broward roads too. Ruts, construction plates and storm drains on I-95 and Federal Hwy bend wheels and knock alignment out. Cars parked near the beach on A1A pick up salt air on brake hardware and suspension bolts, so we check for corrosion when the wheels come off.

C8 and E-Ray notes

The C8 uses a Tremec 8-speed dual-clutch transmission with its own fluid and filter. Clutch slip warnings, harsh shifts and creeping in traffic are worth checking early. We service the fluid, read the transmission module and run the required relearn procedures afterward.

The E-Ray adds a front electric motor and a small high-voltage battery. We service its brakes, tires, suspension, 12-volt battery and cooling with high-voltage safety procedures. High-voltage battery pack repairs stay with the manufacturer, and we tell you plainly when a repair belongs there.

If you have modified your Corvette, tell us what was changed. We can advise on tune options and on how changes may affect drivability and warranty coverage, but we focus on diagnosis, repair and maintenance.

Signs your Corvette needs a visit

  • A ticking or knocking noise that changes with engine speed.
  • An oil level that reads differently cold and hot, or oil on the garage floor.
  • A temperature gauge that climbs in traffic with the A/C on.
  • A brake pedal that feels soft, or a squeal or grind from the wheels.
  • A suspension warning, or a ride that suddenly feels harsh or floaty.
  • Harsh or slipping shifts on a C7 automatic or C8 dual-clutch.

What to expect on your visit

  1. Visit either shop 7 days a week, 8 AM – 7 PM. After hours, you can drop off at Oakland Park, where the lot is open 24 hours and keys go in the front-door drop box.
  2. Full scan and photo inspection of the engine, cooling, brakes and suspension.
  3. Written estimate on your phone, with urgent items marked apart from those that can wait.
  4. Repair and road test after your approval, backed by our 2-year / 24,000-mile warranty.
Questions drivers ask

Frequently asked questions

Do you work on the mid-engine C8 Corvette?
Yes. We service the C8 Stingray, Z06, ZR1 and E-Ray, including dry-sump oil changes, dual-clutch transmission fluid service, brakes, front lift, suspension, tires and alignment.
How do you change the oil on a dry-sump Corvette?
A dry-sump engine keeps its oil in a separate tank, so we drain the tank and the engine, refill to the specified level and then check the level hot with the engine running as the procedure requires. A wrong reading is easy on these cars, so the check matters.
Can you service carbon-ceramic brakes on a Z06 or E-Ray?
Yes. We inspect carbon-ceramic rotors for wear and damage, replace pads, flush the fluid and handle sensors. We also service the iron Brembo systems on Stingray and Grand Sport models.
Do you work on the E-Ray hybrid system?
We handle E-Ray maintenance, brakes, tires, suspension, 12-volt systems and diagnostics with high-voltage safety procedures. High-voltage battery pack repairs stay with the manufacturer.
Do I need an appointment for Corvette service?
No. Walk-ins are welcome 7 days a week, 8 AM – 7 PM, at both shops. You can also request an estimate online before you come in.
Two shops. One standard.
