Polestar maintenance we handle
- Brakes: pads, rotors, calipers and brake fluid. Polestars use regenerative braking, so pads last, but rotors and calipers can corrode from light use.
- Tires: mounting, balancing, rotation, flat repair and replacement with EV-rated tires.
- Wheel alignment, which matters more on a heavy EV with wide tires.
- Suspension: control arms, bushings, sway bar links, dampers and Öhlins adjustment on the Polestar 2 Performance Pack.
- 12-volt battery: testing and replacement when the car shows low-voltage warnings.
- Cabin air filter replacement to keep the A/C and air quality working well.
- A/C and climate control: cooling complaints, refrigerant service and cabin heat pump diagnosis.
- Wipers, lights, washer systems and general inspections.
- Body, paint and glass in house, including windshield replacement with camera calibration.
What stays with Polestar
We want to be plain about this. High-voltage battery pack repairs stay with the manufacturer. That includes opening the battery pack, replacing cell modules and repairs to the electric drive units under warranty. Software updates that come over the air also stay with Polestar.
If your car shows a high-voltage fault, we can scan it, photograph what we see and help you document the problem for Polestar or an extended-warranty claim. You then know what to ask for before you go.

Driving a Polestar in South Florida
Heat is the main enemy of an EV’s small battery, the 12-volt one. Long summer days, cars parked in the sun on Las Olas and short trips with the A/C on full all draw it down. A failing 12-volt battery is one of the most common reasons a modern EV shows warnings or will not unlock.
Tires and brakes also see local wear patterns. Heavy weight and quick launches from lights on Federal Hwy wear tires faster. Meanwhile, regenerative braking means the friction brakes are used less, so salt air near the beach can leave rotors rusty and calipers sticky. Using the brakes firmly now and then helps, and we check them at every tire rotation.
Flooded streets after summer storms are another risk. Standing water can reach underbody parts and wiring. If you drove through deep water, let us inspect the car, and Polestar can check the high-voltage system if needed.
